Dropped by popular today to get a file to file up the numerous worksheets given by my sensei last Sat n the 7 future Sats to come. Got a nice little pretty colorful cheerful purplish pinky translucent file. For just $2.95. Ok price. =)

42km over again
This time.. by bike..
Activity begins at 2pm (17 May 08) when we met up at ecp mac (with 10, ks, kt n wife, n i0). Rented our bikes and set off towards Changi Village. Think it took us ard 1hr 45 mins to reach there, and we take a break at the hawker, savouring the nasi lemak n replenishing fluid wif delicious coconut drink. *slurps*
And then the hard part starts. Firstly we hollanded abit as we cant find the PCN (Park Connector Network) towards loyang --> tampines --> bedok --> ecp. Asked a fellow pro-looking cyclist and he pointed out the way for us, saying its 'abit tricky'. Ahh.. and the 'trickiness' took us till almost 10pm to complete. Couldn't agree more with him. Very tricky indeed.
Following some maps n pcn markings to Tampines was fairly easy. But when we hit Bedok reservoir, no maps, no clear markings. Ended up touring ard the reservoir one big round to ascertain that it is the wrong way. 3.3km of wasted energy and tiredness. Some 好心人 overheard our discussions and came over to point out the correct way to go. But alas, couldn't find proper markings, we veered off the intended track and didn't head to Bedok town park. But somehow, we're back on the pcn again towards Siglap. So tricky finding the siglap pcns. Turned back again n again to check, backtrack, found the right track, then go on the track again... Asked a group of cyclists along the way. And finally we're hitting ecp. Lucky we ended up near the Macdonald's area, saved some km. Returned our bikes, and asked for some discounts. Paid $21 for the 8hr bike rental. Think it is quite ok la, with some complimentary mineral water.
Headed home after a quick dinner, with butt aches and muscles fatigue.
Woke up this morning and decided to check out the pcn maps. Why did we stumbled so hard at Bedok reservoir? Alas, there's actually two different exits to head to ecp. One via Siglap (the further way) and one via Bedok pcn. We shld have taken the latter instead. But the funniest part is, two exits and we took so long to find one of them. Haha.
So its a ~53.3km route instead!
Guess nxt time printing out the maps n bringing them along wld be much better. =)
If there's a next time...... Wahaha... We're a crazy bunch of crazy ppl..

New haircut n new toy
Woke up early this morning, bugged by the thought of getting my hair cut (was thinking abt it before i slpt the previous nite), I decided to try a new salon. Went to Reds at Taka and asked them to recommend me a stylist since I dunno whu is good. Turned out to be worth the try. The guy stylist cut my hair for quite some time. Kept the length but got a different style. Was abit stunned when he styled the messy look for me after cutting. Looks like those young teenagers on the streets? Haha.. Abit paiseh to walk ard shopping afterwards too. But think it dun look out of place since no one stare at me. =)
*Completion of the Keroro model. (Four more to go!!!) So fun, all movable parts.. Fits easily too~ =P
下定决心
Yes.. I did something today..
Something like sign up for Japanese Elementary 1 course. Had planned to take it in March previously, but procrastination caused the class to be full. Something reminded me to check the class schedule again today. N wala! There's a course starting 24 May. Just nice.
So I travelled down to the school. Registered. Made payment. N they gave me my textbook. Flipped thru it. Lots of Japanese words without English translation. Omg.. What have I gotten myself into? Just for interest sake.
Negative points:
- 8 Saturday evenings will be burnt. (Well, 2 of them can be changed subject to availability)
- Burnt a small hole in my pocket.
Positive points:
- Satisfy my interest. (Even though I get funny reactions frm ppl when I told them abt it)
- Learn a little more about a foreign language. (Watched so much anime, but I can't live without the subtitles still)
Hope the teacher is good and the class is fun!
