Penang + KL May 09

Had a short 4D4N trip over the Labour Day weekend, to Penang & KL (first time gg both places)...

1st Day:

Buying ice-cream at the roadside stall.. so hot weather..

Toy Museum
Old toys, new toys.. so many toys! In such a small place.. size of a 3-room flat? Quite a number of life-sized 'toys' for us to fool ard with.. =P

Batu Ferringhi Beach
I think this is the most fun part of the trip for me. Enjoyed playing jetski and parasailing (higher than expected).. and at affordable rates too!

1st to try out the parasailing.. all ready to go!

Here's the take-off.. Good point: Take-off n landing both on the beach.. so no need to get wet! =)

Finally last to go.. tried n tested.. sure ok!

Ended the day with Bak Kut Teh at 'Gurney' Drive and shopping at the 'Gurney' place.

2nd Day:

Bus tickets.. it is quite easy to take bus ard in Penang! =)

Didn;t kn0w I was travelling with so many monkeys.. haha

Went back hotel for wash up and check out. Afterwards we proceed to hunt down our Tao Sar Piah and Chendol~

Time to leave for KL.. Headed to Butterworth train station for an overnite train to KL.

In our bunks.. If you're thinking of trying the train ride.. Dun choose the top bunk! Coz cannot sit up straight one.. n its frm 9pm to 5am~ :O

3rd Day:
After reaching Swiss Garden Hotel to store our baggage, we headed to Batu Caves. The trip there was faster than expected. But the cave was quite disappointing.. coz the dark cave that we wanted to visit was close. Hence we finished visiting the main cave in less than an hr and headed back to KL central area.

Afternoon was spent at Sungei Wang shopping mall. Had a swim and sauna at the hotel and headed to Alor for our dinner.

Taking the monorail to the drinks place.. Oh their monorail goes quite fast one.. so its quite exciting.. ha..

After dinner we went to this pretty place for drinks. Oh its at level 33 of Trader's Hotel.

4th Day:
Everyone's too tired.. So all agreed to scrap visiting the Petronas Towers, coz need to go there v early to queue for tickets to go up to the middle connecting platform. Had a good rest, had breakfast, checked out.. and its shopping day again! Visited other malls like Berjaya Times Square, Lot10, Pavillion. Sadly this time lh has no mood to shop, so didn't buy much.. Whiled away some time at Starbucks drinking Dark Berry Mocha too..

Headed to the airport (unexpectedly far) in the evening and took Air Asia back to SG!
